For most applications, general purpose cable ties, those made with Nylon66) are effective and are also your best value.
If your wiring project is going to be exposed to extreme heat, then you should consider using heat stabilized ties.
The addition of heat stabilizing material can create a wire tie able to stand up to extreme temperatures up to and exceeding 200 degrees F.
These ties are always black, but the fact that a cable tie is black does not mean that it has heat stabilizing properties.
If you are not sure if your wire ties are heat stabilized, contact your supplier for additional information.
